3 nights, 2 days of pure getting wet indulgence was had over the long August weekend up in Kokopo, New Britain. The venue was the Bungalows Kokopo, beautiful wooden villas overlooking the crystal blue water of Kokopa bay, the staff were amazing and so was the seafood, yes its nice to look at under water but also great BBQ'd on a plate, with a nice sauvignon blanc.
All dives were within easy reach by boat, Sunday 3 dives to Pete's Mitsubishi F1M Bi-place WW2 wreck, Bob's WW2 wreck, Deep Malapau Japanese Zero WW2 wreck. Monday saw 2 dives to Kabakon Reef and then to Chicken Island. Each dive was completely different, each site had amazing views fo wildlife, wrecks and all with crystal clear waters. And to top off an amazing trip we got chance to experience an earthquake whilst diving which all I can say is "PNG the land of the unexpected", fabulous. Enjoy a few shots from the trip and then look to join us for our next adventure.
